French Toast for breakfast using Panettone. Mark and I take the car back to the Bed and Breakfast. We have an interesting conversation with the young man who drives us back. He has a small farm that he recently inherited from his grandfather and he discusses what he is growing. There are many farms on Andros. Surprisingly no one seems to be raising chickens. Eggs in the stores come from the USA and are generally around $10 a dozen. Expensive for us, but very expensive for a lot of the locals.
Mailboat unloading |
Linda cleans the strawberrys, reads and relaxes for the morning. In the afternoon “Blow Away Too” and “Manannan” come into the anchorage. They are hoping to tie up in the inner harbor for forecasted north winds in a couple days. There is currently one mailboat in the inner harbor, block in the tie-up wall.
I take Diane and Alian in on our dinghy before the harbor master leaves at 3:30. We find out the two more mail-boats are coming tomorrow and will be side by side in the inner harbor, complete blocking any sailboats from tying up. They make the decision to sail to Nassau tomorrow as we plan to do to hide out from the next predicted front coming through. They are heading to West Bay on Nassau and we are going to Nassau Harbor Club.
