Since we have a short sail to Shroud Cay today we don’t plan on leaving until around 11:00 AM . Mark and I go for a long bike ride around the island. The island is own by one family and they rent a number of houses, villas, etc. All the utilities are under ground and everything is well maintained. We bike by the power plant and solar array field. They has a very active maintenance shop for island equipment and facilities. They have a number of beaches with showers, shaded platforms, water toys, etc.

Blow holes

On the way back I notice some blow holes spewing mist into the air. After Mark and I check them out, we walk back to them with Karen and Linda. We checkout and Linda and I get our last Ice Bar for a while in the store. We leave at 11AM and arrive at Shroud at 1:30. Mark and Karen get a mooring ahead of us and a catamaran leaves just before we arrive, so we get the last available mooring. It is still very windy so we spend the rest of the day on the boat.

We are entertained by the boat boys from the chartered Mega yacht behind us setting up chairs, shade, and water toys on the beach for their customers who don’t come ashore until late afternoon and don’t use any of the toys and soon after return to the mothership. The boat boys are still clearing the beach after sunset. The Exuma Land and Sea park charges Mega yachts $1,000/day for beach setup.

I guess I bored him to death

On our way to Shroud Cay, short trip
