Great Harbour Marina |
Instead of getting a BTC (Bahaman Telecommunications Company) SIM card as were usually do for our old AT&T iphone we decide to get a new service, Island MIFI, unlimited 4G data. They used BTC’s towers, but BTC is only 2G and 3G, so they rent out the unused space. We have a Netgear mobile hotspot, which supports up to 10 devices. We use Google Voice, Skype, Amazon Fire TV and believe it or not Alexa for making phone calls. I can receive text messages and voice with my Google Voice number. Once I sign up online via the Marina's very slow WiFi, “Frenchie” the former Island Nurse-Practitioner, in her new job, comes by to set everything up for us.

Later that afternoon, after lunch she is back again to do the same for Mark & Karen. Frenchie sets Mark & Karen up while sitting in our cockpit again.
