Key Biscayne, No Name

We leave for No Name Harbor on Key Biscayne at 9:00 AM and arrive at 10:30 AM. We surprisingly find space in the very protected harbor. We had expected to have to anchor outside. We find Purdy Suite, a Vermont boat from Lake Champlain Yacht Club there. They have been there for about 5 days getting ready to cross to the Bahamas.

The four of us walk to Winnie Dixie for one last chance to add to our food stocks and stop at a little Columbian restaurant for lunch. I buy a couple cheap folding chairs for sitting on the beach in the Bahamas. That evening we have dinner at the Boaters Grill at No Name Harbour.

We expect to have a noisy evening, being the start of the weekend. This place is noted for the large power boats that like to play loud Cuban music late into the night. Normally you can only tie up to the wall here during the day, but they have not been chasing off the sailboats to anchor. The length limit on the wall is 40 feet. I think the park employees do this to not leave space for the large noisy power boats that like to tie up here. They chase away a few that try to. We have a very pleasent evening tied to the wall.
