Campbell Creek

Very calm morning and we get to catch the rising tide and current back to Beaufort and up the inlet and into the ICW. Once we get halfway to the Neuse River on the ICW we catch the current in our favor going down. The Neuse River is unusually calm so we continue to have a very pleasant trip today.

Hard day one the water

  Heading down the Neuse

Had planned to stop at RE Mayo, a business where fishing boats off load their catches. They sell fish there. The docks are very rough and with the wind and current picking up we decide to pass them up. We anchor for the night in Campbell Creek around 4:00 PM. We have anchored here a couple times going south in the Fall, but now we have another 3 hours of sun light to enjoy the scenery.
