After
breakfast I start working on our Macerator problem. After a quick
google search I gather some advise and am able to get the pump to
run. I think after two years of inactivity, I just needed to rotate
the pump a few times by hand to free it up enough for the electric
motor to be able to turn over the pump. I will get to see how well it
works after we leave the harbor and get out on open water.
Around
noon-time
“Mar-a-Lago”,
Brian & Jane Wilson have arrived.
They had a much better crossing day than we did, even though Friday
was suppose to be the better day. A few more boats come in later in
the day including,
Mark
and Karen on
“Sea-Vu-Play”
We
get together with a couple other cruising boats in the afternoon that
came over from the Sands Marina in South Bimini. We all met up at Big
John's next door for Lunch. Linda was able to get a dish of chocolate
ice cream,
which was surprisingly good for the Bahamas.
A derecho hit Bahamas on the 8/9, gusts of 104 reported in Warwick Wells. In Staniel boats dragging all over the place with hurricane strength winds. Storm lasted 3 hours. Glad you guys were in Bimini.
