A day to relax. Make
popovers for breakfast.
The cove starts filling up with day trippers out for the New Years Day. Busy place, lots of competing boat stereos in the distance, many playing rap. I would love to get a powerful speaker system and play opera and irritate everyone, but unfortunately that would be me, too. Forget that idea.

The cove starts filling up with day trippers out for the New Years Day. Busy place, lots of competing boat stereos in the distance, many playing rap. I would love to get a powerful speaker system and play opera and irritate everyone, but unfortunately that would be me, too. Forget that idea.
I was amazed how dirty our
boat got after a week on the New River. We had quite a bath tub ring
around it, which took some time to scrub off. Fortunately with all
the recent warm weather the water temperature is in the high 70's.

We cruise around the state park in the dinghy. They have some nice mangrove lined creeks for canoeing and kayaking (which they rent). It looks like they have rented them all out today. Strangely, late in the evening, off in the distance, someone is playing “Bolero”, now that is nice.
