We are on our way by 7:30 on a strangely foggy morning. Strange only because we have just had two weeks of warm sunny days.

 

 

 

 

We are heading to Eau Gallie Yacht Club, Melbourne. We stayed at the Eau Gallie Yacht club on our second trip. They have a couple transient slips, but most cruisers think it is too shallow coming in here, so they usually have something available. Last time here we were in the travel lift slot. Our alternate overnight here is anchoring out in front of “Squid Lips”, which we discovered on our first trip south.

Anyways the goal of this stop was to catch up with Jessica, my college roommate's daughter. She lives close by here in Melbourne and we have stopped by twice before and taken her out to dinner and always have a great time catching up with her.

Jessica and her friend, Steve stop by the boat for Happy Hour with Mark and Karen. The four of us walk to a new restaurant that Jessica has heard about. Last time here Jess tried to steer us away from “Squid Lips” to a restaurant she liked better, but when we got there they were closed for an employee party, so we wound up back at “Squid Lips”. So anyway we walk to the “Pineapple” at very busy open air multiple floor restaurant. Looked like a pretty cool place. We walk in and find out its a private party for a local business. So we walk a few blocks to, you guessed it, “Squid Lips” for dinner. Sorry Jess, you can’t fight the “Squid Lips”.
