We have planned to drive up to Hurricane Ridge and possibly spend a few days in the area visiting friends. We wake up to low clouds, and light rain. The cloud ceiling is around 1,000 feet, no use in driving up into the mountains. We are getting tired of all the cloudy and rainy days the last few weeks and decide to start our trip east and just get home.

We stop around noontime at Panera’s so I could do a video call with my doctor. 3:00PM eastern time, 12:00 PM Pacific time. Then we have lunch at Panera’s.
Linda is surprised how dry eastern Washington is. We find a nice rest area on RT 90 in Schrag WA, to stay overnight, one of the few with trees and green (watered) grass. All the other rest stops have dry brown grass, trampled to dust and no trees.
